A fully data-acquisitioned air conditioning laboratory unit with all the functionality of the standard unit, plus computer linkage, recirculating duct and PID controller. Allows investigation of the effect of recirculated air proportion on energy requirements, enthalpy of mixed air streams, and the individual and combined effects of Proportional, Integral and Derivative control of temperature and humidity. Additional software enables the process to be computer controlled and monitored as in a Building Energy Management System.
