Technical Specifications
- Electrically heated reboiler with sufficient capacity for up to two hours of batch operation
- Reboiler heater protected against overheating with low level alarm
- Overhead condenser with cooling water flow measurement and adjustment
- Condensate collecting vessel with double overflow weirs for immiscible liquid separation
- Solenoid operated reflux return valve (0%-100% reflux, electrically adjustable)
- Sampling points throughout the system for composition analyses
- Differential manometer measuring column pressure drop
- Vacuum system enabling distillation studies at reduced pressures down to 200mbar
- Materials: glass, stainless steel, PTFE or solvent-resistant materials
- Maximum operating temperature inside the column: at least 130 C
- Fourteen thermocouple sensors at strategic positions
- Two 5 litre feed vessels with rapid changeover capability
- Peristaltic feed pump range: 0-0.25 litres/minute
- Bottom product heat exchanger (water cooled or feed pre-heater)
- Dosing feed vessel for continuous addition of third liquid component
