Product Overview

How It Works
The apparatus consists of a U-shaped tube with two columns separated by a semi-permeable membrane. It allows students to observe and measure volume changes due to osmosis and solute changes due to diffusion. When used with a dual pressure sensor, it also enables measurement of pressure and volume changes caused by osmotic water movement from a hypotonic solution to a hypertonic solution.
