The Belt Friction Unit with Dynamometers, allows studies and investigations to compare the friction coefficient for a given contact angle of a flat belt and a V-belt.

Bench-top unit with adjustable legs.
Anodized aluminum frame and panels made of painted steel.
- The �ATENG 12148� unit mainly consists of:
- Pulley with grooves that fit the belts:
One for flat belt or round belt.
Two V-belts (one is correctly fitted and the other is badly fitted).
The pulley is balanced and mounted on bearings to reduce frictional losses.
The angle of overlap can be varied up to 100� in increments of 10�.
- Belts:
- Round belt mades of ATENG 11770 rope, diameter: 5 mm.
- V-belt mades of rubber, width: 10 mm.
- Flat belt mades of leather, width: 10 mm.
- Flat belt mades of polyamide, width: 15 mm.
