Fine Gold Concentrator (10–15 TPH)
Product Overview
The Centrifugal Gravity Concentrator is an enhanced gravity separation machine used for recovering fine and ultra-fine heavy minerals such as gold.
It works by applying high centrifugal force to separate free heavy minerals from slurry without the use of chemicals. The system is widely used in both alluvial (placer) and hard rock mining operations.
It is especially effective for recovering fine gold particles that are difficult to capture using traditional methods like sluices or jigs.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The concentrator operates using enhanced gravity (centrifugal force).
Process Flow :
- Slurry feed enters a rotating bowl
- High-speed rotation generates strong centrifugal force
Heavy particles :
- Move outward and get trapped in grooves/riffles
Light particles :
- Flow out with water as tailings
After a cycle :
- Concentrate is rinsed and collected
Key Concept :
Combines :
- Classification (size separation)
- Centrifugal concentration
- Enables recovery of particles not captured by traditional gravity systems
PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
- Can recover >90% of free gold in optimized conditions
- Effective for fine and flat gold particles
- Improves overall plant recovery significantly
- Reduces load on downstream processing
- Enables recovery from previously discarded tailings
PROCESS DESIGN (SIMPLIFIED)
Typical Hard Rock Flow :
- Crushing ? Grinding ? Classification ? Centrifugal concentration
- Material may pass multiple times for better recovery
Typical Alluvial Flow :
- Screening ?
- Coarse ? sluice
- Fine ? concentrator
Key Principle :
- Proper feed size classification greatly improves recovery efficiency
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Basic Requirements :
- Stable foundation (level within ±5°)
- Proper electrical connection
- Clean pressurized water supply
- Slurry feeding system
- Tailings discharge system
Important Considerations :
- Adequate height for slurry flow
- Proper slope for tailings discharge
- Consistent water pressure (avoid fluctuations)
LIMITATIONS
Performance depends on :
- Feed size classification
- Liberation of gold
- Proper operating parameters
Applications
Mining Applications
- Alluvial / placer gold mining
- Dredging operations
- Hard rock gold mining (within grinding circuits)
Reprocessing of old tailings
- Processing Applications
- Initial ore concentration
- Upgrading of concentrates
- Pre-concentration before further refining
Other Uses
- Prospecting, sampling, and drilling analysis
- Environmental remediation (recovery of mercury from tailings)
